With any luck, I might be able to make a last minute trip to Daytona bike week for a couple of nights. Wont know until the 9th and if so, will take off on the 10. Leaving out of Pa. The last two years have gone but made reservations well in advance. Question being, are there many vacancies down there for last minutes deal like this. Dont really care what kind of place, just a place to sleep and wash. Going by myself so dont want a high priced room. Thanks for any info. BTW.. not really stuck on Daytona, can stay at a place in the surrounding area.
I went in 2005 and 2006 with no reservations and had no problem finding cheap rooms right in Daytona. This year I made reservations at a nice hotel in Palm Coast. Just know the room rates go up closer to the weekend.
Hey guys, need advice, not looking for a room. My son is in school in Orlando. Wife & I are flying down for a few days to visit, we thought Daytona would be a great day trip on Saturday the 12th for the three of us.
We will be in the rental cage. Wanted any advice on where to go. Where to park the cage. Just want to go and soak it all up. Not been there before & not familiar with Daytona.
Thanks in advance. Fleck

Use Orbitz. There is plenty of hotel down there, so you don't have to stay too far.
I've booked and paid $50/night. Price can be a little different now.
Good luck

Perfect advice. Those 3 locations will give you the full flavor of the event. Across from the Iron Horse is always a vendor city if you want to wander through.
Don't even try to find free parking for a car. If you are there for a short time, pay to park close and enjoy yourself. Dest. Daytona will have free parking.
