Funny... I was just looking at that jacket this morning. I didn't order it but I did order a different one from happarel.com Maybe give them a try? I saw a positive review from that site on here earlier.

Actually, 618's have sold on Ebay for as little as $122 in the last month and a 618 is stear hide. A 618HH is horsehide.

Dunno about that particular jacket, but I bought a distressed leather brown jacket from HD and I'll not buy another from them ever. Pocket zipper is broken, tabs missing off other zips, lining is starting to come apart on the inside. Jacket is only 8 months old. Leather itself is good quality, just been put together badly. Dealer said they'd send it for repair, I could get it back in 6 WEEKS because they have to send it to china to have it repaired.
I'll only buy made in EU, Aussie or US from now on....

You get what you pay for. Check out Branded Leather. Heavy hide, strong brass zippers & snaps, made in the USA. They supply the NYPD mounted units amongst other LE. I have two of their jackets and would not hesitate to buy from them again.

I hate buying anything from China. The Schott 125 with the rawhide ties in the back gussets and no belt was THE jacket for the crew back in the '60s and early '70s. Looks great with a denim cut...
