My guess as to why there is not a lot of debate/information would be there is just no real gain over stock to them. There are so many great sponsors/owners on here making mods and detailing every aspect of these motors.

I very much doubt they all overlooked the ignition system. My thought is you answered your own question by researching this..........snake oil.

I had a '99 Dyna with the 95" kit, SE dual fire ignition with the fat spark plug wires, 10mm I think, no problems.

Mine came with an ignition. Paid $20,000 for it and got the bike for free.

points are the most simple system.. a light is a light..unless you run really high rpms..i have been running a dyna s on my shovel for 10 years..2 wires no controller..the difference in single and duel fire, is with two coils each coil has a rest between fires..its still firing 500-3000 times a min.it only makes a difference on prostreet performance
