I have an FXRG textile jacket for 5 years now and had it replaced once under warranty due to a zipper defect. I have always found it to be extremely effective in keeping me dry.

If yours isn't, I would take the purchase receipt and the jacket to your local HD Dealer and send it back for a replacement. They have a 5 year warranty and, as long as you have the receipt, any dealer should be able to submit a claim for you.

I have the old style textile jacket and I am very happy with it. I put on some water repellant twice a year. I have used this jacket for 6 years.

My FXRG textile jacket has kept me completely dry in hours of riding in the rain. It's the most versatile piece of equipment I have.

Thanks all for the input. I have tried some repellant to no effect but am going to try a different type. Seems like the majority dont have problems which makes me wonder. One thing though, how many of you ride behind screens ? My mate also has one and he rides behind a screen on his Road King and stays dry while I am fully exposed on my Low Rider and I found fish in the pockets after my last wet run !!!

Just to add to my last, I imported this jacket from a Harley dealer (St Pauls) into Australia so warranty is my problem. HD Australia have been very good but their hands are tied and trying to talk with HD U.S.A has been proving to be difficult as their email has been down. Not very good PR me thinks !!

Im another fxrg guy, even though I dont have a harley anymore, I wear it all the time. Plus the overpants that match the jacket. Rode from Iowa to daytona fl recently in pretty much all freakin rain. And it was below 30 degrees when I left des moines. Perfectly dry, fairly warm for no heated gear. Love it.

To add, I have the last version with the shitty waterproof zipper, it busted real fast. Harley gave me a new, much better zipper for free.

I've been absolutely pounded on and stayed dry in my FXRG textile. Not to sound like a smart ***, but is it possible you had a vent open? I have been known to do that before.

I think the jacket is guaranteed regardless of which dealer in whatever country you purchased it from. Your Aussie dealer should take care of it and replace it. HD gave the guarantee, not the dealer. Just sayin'.
