Actually seems pretty fair, the Blue Book value on a used/excellent condition for the stock bike is $10,625. As long as there are no issues mechanically with the bike, seems a pretty faird deal, but you may be able to talk him down a bit.
**EDIT**
LoL, didn't read the end part of his post! Seems he knows the Blue Book value and is asking for $1,000 more for his upgrades. Still, if all is true, doesn't seem like a bad deal.

Looks good to me. Not much on all the engine mods. That does not mean anything to me. Cheap when you look at a new one. Market is soft so they are good deals if you look for them. If you really like it what difference does it make if you have the cash, I do not finance hobbies.
Good point. A Yamaha would be worth 2-2.5K . That said a Ford truck would be 2-2.5K and a Toyota 4-5 times that? Go figure. Lo is right however. If you look you probably can get one half the age for less money.
10 years old or not, it still seems like a decent deal based on the upgrades and condition of the bike. As noted, this is not far over the value book cost for this ride. Given the market you may be able to talk him down a bit.
I would say the price is not like some of the Crackheads prices on CL.
If the bike shows well,etc- not to bad IMo.
Sure you could find a another 10 year old bike, but it may need a lot.
It'd sell really fast around here..
Lot of HD wanna-be's would jump on that deal.
IMO thats a really good deal.
Thats a lot of engine mods, U don't/won't ever get U money back U spent on them when selling,, as the sellers not asking much over a stock bike,,,,but when buying used on a well taken care of bike, I don't see how U'd go wrong..
There's too many Newbies that have bought their used bikes dirt cheap, and really they wouldn't have a Harley if they weren't so cheap these days..
the man's spent $5-6k in motor mods and couple $k's on other stuff..
Why would U spend $10.5k on a plain bike then if U did the same mod he had U'd have $18-19k in her..
But now U can get one for $1400 more...
Come on..... $7-8k worth of mod for $1400,,, where can a person go wrong.....
U'd only get a STG1 for that price..
For me it'd be a no brainer on getting it....
Start a thread on how many of the TC88 owner who'd spend $1400 to get a good reliable 100/104 motor..
Any one who had the money would jump on it in a heart beat.
