I could not ride without a backrest with my back problems,I've had both the stationary and the adjustable and like the adjustable much better.Well worth the money IMO.

I have the non-adjustable backrest on my Ultra. Great enhancement. Question to the riders with the adjustable backrest. How often do you change the position of the backrest? I set mine up where it was comfortable for me and have never had to readjust it. I figure I saved some $.

I have the adjustable on mine, and I have to say it makes the long rides very comfortable. I set mine up once and haven't adjusted it since. I had the non adjustable on my Road King and found it to work just as well. I would go with the non adjustable on any new bikes going forward.

I'll be the lone dissenter. I sold mine in like new condition for half price on this forum.

I tried it a half a dozen times or so for hours at a time and just couldn't get used to the confining feeling it gave me. I adjusted it every which way and finally concluded that no matter where or how it was adjusted it never felt as good as simply removing it.

I will admit though, it would be nice to have for 5 minutes out of every hour to lean back against and crack your back. But 55 minutes of irritating me is not worth the 5 minutes of pleasure.

Kinda like the ex-wife and subsequent girlfriends LOL!

Love it wouldn't be without one. Bought mine from Flea-Bay for less than half. Then cut and re-welded the stock Harley mount to move it back and more vertical. Sits like a Lazy-Boy.

I love mine on the RG. I only use it for the longer trips, and the extra support sure is nice after a long day in the saddle.
