Well, that was hardly the Hayabusa-engines fault. 900hp is of course much better than 500hp so obviously the BUB must have had way better aerodynamics than the Ack Attack. I just can't see the point in developing a new engine for the purpose. There are many cheap, light and reliable engines out there. Maybe they had some good reason...
