This my be OT, but it IS related to my bike. I am spending a lot of money on it! How much is too much? I am single so no one is nagging me and I certainly can afford it. Why am I feeling as little guilty? I think my ex brainwashed me. Now, about those shinny chrome wheels.....
My wife and I enjoyed our 37th wedding anniversary last Jan. We have never told each other what one can do or not do. We both worked hard, put our kids through pvt schools and now are enjoying life. If I wanted two Harleys as long as I did not strain the budget she would laugh and tell me to go at it. Life is too short to deal with the stress of one spouse telling another what he/she can and cannot do.
Enjoy your bike now, things may change tomorrow.
Why don't you ask this on a mental health forum. Few here will understand your perceived dilemma.
+1...I do think that any feelings of guilt could prove to have adverse effects on your overall health and an intervention is needed to clear that up.
There is an old saying about if you tell people something long enough, they will start to believe it. In this case I think that if you keep buying stuff for your bike long enough, you will lose the guilt thing.
I would suggest going to one of the larger Harley Dealers in your area and ask to speak to a "Chrome Specialist" I think they are called. He/she should be able to help you overcome your problem.
