funny thing,, my brother used to wear an old chopper pilot helmet whaen he rode 20+ years ago, probably not much protection but the retractable visor was kind of neat

It's ECE rated as an open face, so some protection. THe chin straps are just cosmetic, but tehy do loook cool, especially the gas mask styled oned.

That is such a lovely shade of olive drab...I don't see the mounting area for the boom mike or ear speakers. I think this helmet is much better for a bike.

Ive seen those helmets in person... wind noise and wind turbulence are a set back... another complaint is your eyes get teary and you are unable to wipe due to the visor lock. Real fighter pilot helmets are to be worn in a environmentally sealed capsule, not in open wind and are better designed; what makes this one any better? Yeah, it's cool looking, that's about it...
