I was starting to suggest, it's time for pegs, but that'll blow that budget.. Maybe a start with the shifter pegs and brake pad possibly?
Howbout even a custom tank bib? Don't know if that can be done for $50 either. HD stands for hundred dollars ya know. []
I have the axle covers and pointy ones on the front. I'm not sure how to polish out the wheels with sand paper. Tell me more xxxflhri. I am still in Alabama, so I haven't put the black tank on yet, sorry guys. I have a Lindby Crash bar I took off, I lke to split lanes a lot, and it has a bit of rust on the front of it. Maybe I'll paint part of it flat black, put it back on and put highway pegs. I also like those inserts for the dash. The black ones. Haven't priced them. Oh yeah, since I haven't ridden, I forgot I'm gonna need a rear tire soon too. Once again, tell me how to polish out those rims. I got the time for it.
I use an attachment that fits in an electric drill. I get 3M Hook-It sandpaper from an auto body supply house. It velcros on the drill head. Start off with 300-400 grit and work your way up to 2000 grit or so. It's not hard. Once you master not tearing the sandpaper on the edges of the rotor, you can polish out one side in about 45 minutes.
