Wondering if any one on the form has had experence with motorcycle home study course by Penn Foster? What I have heard, they teach 2 and 4 stroke machines. Just curious if anyone here has done their course?
I oftened wondered how much you can learn by not having bikes to work on?
Yeah , that was the problem , I couldn't for the life of me find a beat up
old bike to work on as I went through the program , but I still think it was
worth every penny , when it comes to working on my Harleys I get out the manual and I still have the books from Penn Foster as reference books
just in case , they just don't deal much with Harley engines .
I went through a 6 month HD course at MMI (actual motorcycle school) and thought it was a waste if money. Great experience, but not worth the expense and time. I guess it depends what you wanna do? Self edification? Get into the field? If the latter, even with degree, it's a tough market.
I did further checking and was reading they are all about the money.
I have thought about going to MMI for the whole course but we are talking 27k to complete. I'm wanting to take good classes so maybe can run my shop out of home. I do auto work as a hobby to include full retsore and wanting to try something else.
