this weather is so depressing, only had bike out couple of times.coming off a cold winter and starting a wet spring is it ever going to stop raining? there hasnt been to many days this month where they havnt had rain in the forcast. with gas prices riseing it would be a perfect excuse to ride more. it just sit in the garage under cover waiting for warmer dry weather.

I was just now going to open up a RAIN thread. There might be a small wheather window to ride here today (Saturday) but I'm not sure. It's been either cold or rainy or both and should continue through next week. I'll be in the garage today to re-clean the dust off my bike.
We've been dealing with the same damn thing in central PA.. I've just about had it with the rain so far this month. It feels like we've only had 2 or 3 days this month with any real amount of sun, but my gf keeps reminding me that it's only April.. I'm trying to be patient..
Wifey and I were both off on Friday and planned on a day of riding since with work and weather, we had only gotten in one decent ride this year. Get up and thunderstorms are threatening, oh great..... We waited around until about 9 and finally said screw it, we'll take the rain suits in case we get caught in something major.
Got into a few drops at the start but after about 50 miles the clouds went away and we had nothing but sunshine for the next 250 miles. About 20 miles before getting back home, here come the thunderheads! We make it home and 5 minutes later the bottom falls out.....
Would love to send some of this cold and wet weather down to you folks in Texas. My brother lives down in the DFW area, it's either too dry, too hot, too wet and windy.....just kidding. Seen the news, know you could use a little bit. For us, it's probably gonna go from 45-50 degree wet weather to 85+ humind with no normal spring. I'll take the warmer weather, but it would be nicer if we could "grandually" get there.
It looks like we might get to ride here in Northern Ohio today. We just have to wait for the roads to get dry from all of the rain last night. But in the mean time I'm going to the dealer to pick up some more chrome.

Been riding to work now for the last month or so here in NJ. Had to leave the bike at work (I have use of a company vehicle) only once. Screw the weatherman! If you rode when they said fair weather you would never ride! If it isn't foggy or raining I'll take the bike. Couldn't care less what it does during the day. No rain means I ride home. It would be nicer if the temps were warmer, but hey - I'm riding!
I'm sick of it....I know April is the rainy month to kick off spring, "April Showers"...but man, enough is enough!
And earlier in the week the forecast was for nice weather on Thur and Fri. So I took the bike..both days.
Thursday ended up being like a hurricane...and I had to make a few trips across "The New London Bridge"..spanning the Thames River between New London and Groton. It's like a smaller version of the Golden Gate bridge....hiiiiiigh up abovve the water in this valley. It was like riding through a wind tunnel. Those gusts coming directly from the side.
Friday forecast was for less wind, mostly sunny, and a few degrees warmer. So I took the bike again...get to the office...clouds roll in, wind picks up again.
Rain today. Forecast for next week is at least looking better, and temps nudging 70. Hope we get a good stretch of good weather, need it for riding, and getting our house painted.
