AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH ! I GIVE . Forget the poll. Geeeesh !
Actually.. it's a great idea for demographic data. Bravo!
If we had the type of bike as rows and age brackets as columns, I could actually chart the data for statistics of ages (mean, median, mode, etc) for each bike. Would be pretty interesting I think.. Now what the moco would really like to see, but they probably already have, is how those curves for bike type actually change from model year to model year.. So they can see how age bracket changes relate with changes within the models (styling changes to appeal to different buyers) and buying environment and external factors.
... Infact, have ya noticed how the different styles have changed for these last couple years.. Never thought I'd be looking at glides and other baggers and thinking "man that's a pretty stylin' scoot!"... The moco is working hard to attract the younger buyers.. Funny all the VRod riders I've seen have been 40 plus.. and I'm seeing younger guys taking to dyna's, sporties and glides. My theory on softials.. the whole age gambit.. old schoolers into heritages, 30 somethings into fatboys, younger guys with an appreciation of nostalgia riding deluxes, but of course not limited to those over-speculations.
.. but I say "guys"... I know at least one or two gals here into scoots as well.. on deluxes, sportsters.. you name it.. Our esteemed ladies are the largest growing segment of the market. I say you go girls. Throws another 3rd dimension into the analysis, don't it.
hehe.. sorry guys, I gotta avoid the forum this late at night.. I babble. [sm=icon_blah.gif]
27 - bagger (ie. the only kind of bike that makes sense). I may or may not add a Sportster depending on the outcome of my "gettin' run over" settlement. Or it might be a Moto-Guzzi, or a Ural, or a Zrx1100r.
The second bike, since not needing to be practical, opens itself to many possabilities.
Yeah, putting the age next to the bike messes it up. I got my Sporty when I was 24. Still have it and have added a Shovel FL in my 30's.....no place for that vote.
Maybe restart the poll with different options.[sm=closed.gif]
