Default Some thoughts a bit long winded

This thread has been going on for sometime now. Everyone that has contributed has added their thoughts and comments regarding their experience with DavidJacket. Some good, not so good and down right being ripped off. Though as a consumer, I look for the best deals price and quality, service. Some of these manufacturers in China are huge sweat shops that do nothing more than pirate American made products. They have been sited numerous times for producing pirated copies of music and computer program software. After all they have to eat as well (I am not defending, just stating a fact). The Chinese have complete cities with stores and roadways and apartments that are completely empty. They are called "Ghost Towns". Look it up, for the non believers. A true monument to socialism/communism. Getting way off track here.
I am really confused though. How can someone say this stuff is counterfeit HD gear, when the so called "original" HD gear says made it China, SKU Numbers are identical, look feel and touch are the same. I took my Davidjacket (I have 3 now and looking to buy 3 more) to a HD dealership put them side by side. Everything identical, down to the body armour inserts in the sleeves. I wonder, do these so called counterfeit pundits have some inside info as to how they come to the conclusion DavidJacket stuff is fake. Or is simply their Professional Opinion, educated guess or whatever. Where do you get your inside info regarding the authenticity of HD gear? I would really love to know. It just might save me the embarrassment of getting ripped off.

So pay $200 and get a jacket shipped from China or pay $500 and get a jacket shipped from China via Harley Davidson? I would rather just buy a better quality product elsewhere.

Doc, it seems to me that they come from the same source and we are just cutting out the middlemen that mark it up 100% by the time we buy it. I don't think they are knock offs.

I don't think anyone thinks the jewelry is real, but the HD apparel sure looks like it.

The company isn't. US Customs is.

It doesn't take much in the way of smarts to deduce that if they're selling counterfeit "Rolex" watches the jackets are also counterfeit. The one spelling error in the stitching only proves it.

I think anyone who wears a fake Rolex is an idiot and is the ultimate poser. I'll let everyone draw their own conclusions with the rest.

If I wanted to pay $400-$500 for a riding jacket I would too. I wouldn't spend that much on most of the HD jackets I've seen. But, when I can get 2 HD jackets for $400 shipped, that's a deal I can live with.

Knock offs are easy to spot if you know what to look for. In my case the Jackets I bought from Ali were real. I have noticed that they no longer use the HD name and block the HD logos on the pictures, but use the HD stock numbers. Not sure what that means, maybe HD got on them?

Common sense says the stuff they're selling is counterfeit.

Or it was a flaw. You think the real factory in China doesn't make mistakes and ship them out? Get real... That is why they have Factory Outlets, to sell that type of stuff at a discount.

I personally would rather them take the logos off.
