+1 I paid $500 for my 74flh back in 1979. It was a freakin rat bike from hell. but I loved it. seat was taped on the frame. lots of parts missing.. funny thing is it did run. I spent a lot of time working on that bike.. even to this day I miss it.

I want a good handling bike and was thinking about a fxr but at 6'1 would I feel cramped with mids and is 6k good to spend

Forwards would probably work a little better for you..... You should be able to find a late 80s FXR for 6-8000 no problem.

Yea I see 89 for 7000 fxrp I would say 6500 or 6000

I agree.Paying cash don"t mean sh*t!! Credit properly handled will work!! I'll take my cash & invest it in something with a return.Let the return pay for the financing of the bike.To each his own.
