I tend to shop clearance racks first then the non-clearance racks. I'll never pay more than $30.
The price is comparable to other name brand shirts with designs. Though I tend to only buy shirts while on trips.
I usually stop at the local Harley dealer when I'm traveling and check out their t-shirts. I'll pick one up if the artwork is really good but it typically means paying full price (usually around $30) unless I'm lucky enough to be there during a sale.
Been to Qatar and Kuwait, but didn't get Harley shirts from either - wish I had. I have a Kabul Harley Davidson T-shirt that cost about $10 - do T-shirts from dealerships that don't exist count?
The 4 staples of the Afghan retail economy are fake designer sunglasses, bootleg DVDs, stuff they stole from Americans, and fake Harley Davidson merchandise.
The one I got from Qatar, I got from a The HD Dealer there. I was on a pass and got a chance to go in town. Should have got 2. I do notice that there are tons of knock off stuff over here though.
I generally do not buy HD t's for myself. My wife buys most of them and tells me to not look at the receipts. Since she is the one working and bringing home all the money - I go along with it. When traveling on the bike, I do have a few friends that I pick up t-shirts for when I stop at a dealer, but since that is vacation and the shirts are gifts, (and since the wife is buying) I don't pay attention to the cost.
From: 12 year, Colombia, 4 years Mexico, currently In Kuwait, but Boston is HOME!!
Last year I bought 3 shirts at 110,000 pesos a piece about 50 bucks. THey were gifts for my cuz and two buddies. They saw my Bogota HD shirt the year before and thought it was a cool shirt to have. I figured I would surprize them. I had a 11 hour lay over waiting for my flight to Miami to Boston. I know Bogota very well so I went to go watch some live entertainment I know of in the area of the Bike shop, took care of biznez, went to the shop bought the shirts hopped in cab and went back to the airport. Most expensive shirt I ever bought if you include the extracurricular activities. My cuz and buddies loved the shirts.
In the states 20 buck on the clearance rack, but it has to be black. Just cant wear colored t-shirts.
