brenn ... America might be the largest market for bike sales but it's not their (Harley ) only market ..... I'm sure have their eye on the ball regarding issues ( Gun control ) that might effect sales don't you! ....

...I will buy them if I like the design... HD stuff is very expensive... for my jacket, I just like the looks of a solid black nice bike jacket with nothing on it... You can find other brands that are better quality or for the same price as HD and sometimes cheaper... if is not the best for protection and quality no way.
My wife does buy one or two HD Christmas ornaments each year, and puts a "bike tree" in my office (her idea, not mine!).

I buy Levi's still because I like the fit, I do have a H-D Denim Vest and some shirts. But the whole Buy-American thing is so diluted anyway; Buy Jeans made in the USA with Cotton imported from the Philippines, or cars made with steel from Brazil. For the most part, I will not buy anything that says H-D on it unless it's on sale or a needed part.

How do you folks feel about HD boots, jackets, vests and other branded ****?
What I'm trying to say is that a lot of the HD branded merchandise is either made in the US or China or Whoknows.
I know for a fact that HD moved their boot factory to China and Double H took over the tooling and offers USA made bootst for less than HD/China boots.
My friend has a HD Jacket that he bought 10 years ago that's made in the US. Recently he bought a HD vest for 109 dockets and it's made in China.
Basically what I wanna know is do you buy into the HD branded merchandise for what it is or do you
buy other USA brands like Chippewa, Schott, etc...?
