Levi's are an American owned company according to the book, "How Americans Can By American." By Roger Simmermaker.

brenn ... America might be the largest market for bike sales but it's not their (Harley ) only market ..... I'm sure have their eye on the ball regarding issues ( Gun control ) that might effect sales don't you! ....

+1 to a lot of those points. I've got a bunch of HD shirts, cups, misc gear -- most of it gifts from folks who know I ride. As for t-shirts, the only time I'll buy is if it's from some special location (e.g., Shanghai, China) or the artwork is really outstanding.

My wife does buy one or two HD Christmas ornaments each year, and puts a "bike tree" in my office (her idea, not mine!).

non essential to me (even when I have a Harley in the garage).
Some people like wearing all the crap, and that's their business. Doesn't bother me any

I stopped buying Levi's when they stopped making them in the US. Late 90s I think.

I buy Levi's still because I like the fit, I do have a H-D Denim Vest and some shirts. But the whole Buy-American thing is so diluted anyway; Buy Jeans made in the USA with Cotton imported from the Philippines, or cars made with steel from Brazil. For the most part, I will not buy anything that says H-D on it unless it's on sale or a needed part.

What I'm trying to say is that a lot of the HD branded merchandise is either made in the US or China or Whoknows.
I know for a fact that HD moved their boot factory to China and Double H took over the tooling and offers USA made bootst for less than HD/China boots.
My friend has a HD Jacket that he bought 10 years ago that's made in the US. Recently he bought a HD vest for 109 dockets and it's made in China.
Basically what I wanna know is do you buy into the HD branded merchandise for what it is or do you
buy other USA brands like Chippewa, Schott, etc...?
Interesting topic as I have been shopping fora pair of boots. Brands such as Chippewa and Red Wing that are associated with being US brands are being made off shore too now. Hard to find a quality US made boot these days. May have to step way up and get a set of White's.

As long as it's on the clearance rack. Otherwise I buy it online for half price or better.
