My favorite way to ride. I sure seemed like a long winter this time. Maybe I'm just getting old. I used to like the cold and snow.
PS this is a weather thread, not a gear thread so the safety patrol doesn't need to chime in. We already know you don't approve of riding in shorts and sandals.
We all might be ATGATT this summer. Read an article that it is the year of the cicada.
Never wore sandals, flip flops, etc. while riding. Just doesn't seem like it would be that comfy to me.
Wore shorts while riding for a long time when I was young. Took a very minor topple when an old lady backed outta her drive in front of me. When the guy in the truck behind me helped pick my bike up off of me a nice charred chunk of my leg stayed stuck to the muffler. Kinda like when you pick up a pork chop or ribs and a couple of chunks stay stuck to the grill. I have only worn shorts one time since on a bike and that was unavoidable.
But if you like to ride like that, I've never berated anyone about what they like to wear while riding. And the weather has definatly been perfect if that is your prefered attire. I was just recounting why I personally wont wear shorts anymore.
Hey what someone wears when riding is up to them. I could care less...and shorts and sandals must be okay...I see a lot of guys on Goldwings riding with them...
when I was in college I got yelled at by a old geezer for wearing sandals on a bike, and I have been self concious ever since.
I am not big on shorts on a bike, but I have been wearing my mesh-topped Adidas more and more... Feeling the air rush through the toes when you take off, is a good kind of feeling. Yeah, my ankles are a little exposed... but I am wearing jeans.
