Does Virginia have motorcycle exhaust/noise restrictions?

I see plenty of guys running around with open exhaust. I haven't heard of anyone being ticketed for it under normal circumstances. I have the Vance and Hines Big Shot Staggered on my softail. No problems. Come on out. Lots of great scenic riding all over Virginia.

Thanks everyone! Good chance I'll be moving to the Richmond area just waiting on the job to work itself out - so much to consider (my wife is stressing about selling/buying a house and I am thinking about my Harley...)
Looks like some nice riding and scenic views and I am sure you get more months on the road than I do here in Colorado!!

I have had a motor cop ride up along side me and tell me how good the bike sounded, so I guess I am good.
You may get more months on the road, but you may want to invest in some good rain gear....LOL

I have ridden my Big Dog with Hooker Troublemakers through police checkpoints without being stopped. I have never had an issues with the sound levels from the exhausts on any of my V-twin motorcycles.

You did not pass my wife and I 
We both have V&H exhause, love the sound. Live in Central VA and yes the riding is great.
On a side note, recommend checkout Waugh HD in Orange, great dealer. If your out in by June, he is having his annual bike show. Well worth going too
