The guy at the other end could get in a lot of trouble for his mistake...it would bother me knowing that someone might have lost their job over this deal...and now his wife has left him, his kids have no shoes for Christmas, he's started drinking again....
Really, this is the kind of sheet I lay awake thinking about. Just kidding...you did the right thing by reaching back to him.
I'm sure some of you can understand how one would be tempted to keep it ans sell it off for a quick buck but ya I wouldn't be able to rest easy knowing some poor guy could be in a lot of chit for his mistake.
Still waiting for a reply from the seller and will update here with his response
Just sold an old yamaha I had in my garage for $1250... Guy gave me $1350...
I counted the cash a couple times and handed the other $100 back. He had many more where that came from and didnt realize he game me too much. I gladly gave it back to him, feel much better about it.
I had a similar experience.
I ordered a pair of gloves from a leather dealer that gets mentioned here a lot.
They sent the wrong gloves and then double shipped the replacement pair.
I called them up to let them know I had two pair but only paid for one and offered to ship them back the extra pair if they sent me a shipping label. I did this because not doing this is the same as stealing IMO.
Anyways, I call them and they argue with me LOL! I was like, well I tried to do the right thing and then gave the extra pair to my buddy.
