warranty

Maybe a dumb question but are seats covered under warranty,my passanger seat on my 09 Fatboy is made of plastic and broke the tab off where it bolts down

If the bike is under the 2yr warranty and it is the stock seat, should be. If it is an added HD accessory seat that was added and installed by dealer within 60 days of bike purchase, should be.

thanks Dawg it is a stock seat warranty expires today but I have the extended warranty

I have had 2 seats replaced on warranty. They both had holes in them. One caused by rubbing on the corner of the dash. It was replaced under warranty because the dash was not aligned properly. The other one had a 'rip' in the seat. They replaced it because they said the leather was noticeably very thin, so it was 'inferior material'.

mine didnt tear it broke the mounting tab off ,the seat pan is made of plastic warranty expired 4 days ago they will warranty under extended warranty for $50

During the warranty period 100% of the bike is warrantied against "defects".

If some one breaks something by dropping or like manner, that is not a defect.
