Bought a classic solo seat from Corbin. Seat didn't sit right on rear fender. Sent it back for rework an never saw it again. It's been two months since I ordered seat. The tech team and service at Corbin is horrible. Would strongly recommend not buying from them. Just an FYI.
I have a Corbin seat on two of my bikes - not my H-D, and I like them a lot. I live about a two hour ride to Corbin's shop and go there and get the seats custom made while I wait. Not only do you get to make sure everything fits and you are happy with it, but they let you ride your bike with the new seat before they cover it in case you want them to shave off a little more foam. And the best part about it is there is no extra charge for them to build you the custom seat while you wait.
i had a problem with a corbin seat i bought last year this spring i sent it in for repair, they sent fedex to my house to pick it up and to send it back ,they paid shipping both way`s. it took four weeks, i did call them once a week treat them with respect and always asked for the same girl and it worked out fine as a matter of fact they gave me a brand new one!

When I would call they would say they will check on it and give me a call back. I would wait for 3 days an have to call them back only to get the same response. With service like that I'll spend my money elsewhere.
I've heard a lot of guys swear by their Corbin seats through the years and, unfortunately like yourself, plenty of them that swear at them. One alternative that I've come to know and love is the Russell Day Long Saddle conversion (www.day-long.com). My Harley has my forth Russell saddle on it and I'm nothing but pleased with it. They do good work and they modify the factory seat pan so fitment is never an issue when you get the seat back. They're not cheap compared to many other options but I firmly feel that in this case, you definitely get what you pay for.
