I've been reading about the new LED headlights HD is promoting. Has anyone installed one and if so what's your opinion? The $400 price tag seems high, but if they're as good as advertised it would be worth it for any night riders.
Search the threads, there are a few on the LED headlight, personally I spent about 1/10th the price and got a nice set of HID's that I'm very happy with, even if they start to make them for an RG I wouldn't change, I have a couple of friends with them and the difference is hardly noticeable.
Just ordered one for my sporty a cople days ago and should have it in about a week to 10 days. I do alot of night riding and the stock headlight even with a good bulb wasn't cutting it. All the reviews I hread and video's I have watched they look to throw a lot of light down.
there are a few threads here and in touring section as well
I have mine installed since spring they are simply the best money a 58 year old can spend to make night riding safer.
Maybe if you are 20 you can see at night, but with deer and road construction this gives me additional time to react
