I came across this site recently ( http://www.petelandrysrealgas.com/index.html ) which lists Louisiana stations that offer ethanol-free gas and was interested to note that several stations are near home. I'd like to try pure gas with the next fill-up to see if performance changes, but I've read some warnings that using pure gas after an extended use of ethanol-10 can bring about problems with internal deposits that go back into solution.
Anybody had experience with switching back to real gas?

I don't see how todays gas have the highest level of detergents and are designed to burn cleaner.
There should be no extra dirt to go back into solution.
SEARCH "ETHANOL FREE GAS" AND YOU MAY FIND SEVERAL LOCATIONS NEAR YOU. LISTS USA AND CANADA. I FOUNT 6 LOCATIONS IN MY TOWN AND 1 LESS THAN A MILE FROM HOME. I THINK MY MOTORS DO BETTER ETHANOL FREE. SITE LISTS PRO & CON ON ETHANOL.
My gas mileage dropped about 6 to 8 mpg with ethanol over straight gas. It's all ethanol around here but on the interstate I still find the real deal some times.
All I try to run is 93 pure gas in my cvo 110. I know where all the pure gas stations are and plan my rides where I go by atleast one. Go to www.pure-gas.org.
I was under the impression that if they sell ethanol tainted gas that a sticker is required on the pump. If it doesn't have one then it is the real deal. That is, unless the gas station owner is too lazy to put the stickers on the pumps or he is selling corn gas and telling his customers it is for real gas.

I ran a tank of pure gas last week. The station is about half an hour from me. It cost about 10% more as the stations big selling point was "ethanol free gas". Performance seemed about the same. I assume gas mileage was better. My 2011 Street Bob (third Harley) is probably better set up to run on gas with ethanol than an older bike. I probably won't go out of my way again, but if I am out that way, I will fill up with the pure gas again.
