No offense, but a fatbob tank doesn't belong on a Sportster. When you put anything but a Sportster tank on a Sporty, it looks too big & pretentious, like it's trying to be something it's not. The Sporty peanut is the single most identifiable tank in biking history, and to replace it with anything else would be like trying to replace the grill on a Rolls Royce with one from a Chevy. I would compare it to a rap cover of a Beatle song. In other words--a SACRILEDGE! I'd can the idea.
BUUUUUT--in case you still wanna do it,remember this. You can put anything on anything as long as you're willin to throw $$ at it.
