His last story, round the world on a hardtail shovel was 1st class. Some very excellent pics of biker parties as done by the rest of the world. Some of those eastern bloc women are smokin.
agree - hardcore.
I never knew there were so many biker parties in eastern Europe and Russia. Doug seems to know when and where most of them are. There are definitely some beautiful women. It looks like their parties make Daytona, Laconia, et al. look like church functions.

I had clicked on that link and was enthralled as to what he was doing and what he had done. Then I noticed another link within his story about a guy who last summer rode his bone stock Road King down to Tierra Del Fuego, Chile. Pix of him and his buddy riding in rivers and mud filled dirt roads. The guy is running his Gangster White Walls even!
Both had great pix and stories!

You beat me to it! I've been following his ride report and was going to post a link to it here. I have been lurking on the ADVrider Forum going on a year now and am completely fascinated by some of the threads. Some of those rr's read like a great adventure novel and very well could be made into books with the photo's and writing styles some of those guys have.
You guys should look at Doug's other ride reports as well from other years.
Errr... I admire what he does, but there's no f-n way. I lived there for 20 years and didn't know anyone who went that far east (using any mode of transportation) voluntarily. Those who did, were wearing either an army uniform or prison outfit. I'll go anywhere in the world, but not there.
