Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure to be street legal in CA you need to have turn signals...
Here's a site that summerizes the CA laws http://home.ama-cycle.org/amaccess/l...t.asp?state=ca
Not sure when this was put on the net but looks about right too http://www.ducatigirl.com/california/dmv_a_main.html just a bit more detailed on some items.

Thanks so much for the responses!

Everything I heard prior to getting here was that police were gunning for bikers. I got the impression they all had decibel meters and emissions testing equipment in their trunks, they had stood up a special task force to crack down on bikers, perticularly Harley/loud pipe riders, and in MC vs cager accidents, its always the biker's fault. Sort of a 'scare you into submission' tactic I guess.

I have had no problems personally since arriving. But like you Bluerose, I ride to have fun, not to get tickets. My pipes are louder than stock. But only to avoid being squished by a cager, not to be overly obnoxious. Buses and commercial vehicles are louder than me. I have all my turn signals.

I just want to be able to do a Stage I at least, and not get busted down for it. Sure I want more power. But I'm more concerned with keeping the enging healthy. Feels like I can fry an egg on my stock 88.

Thanks again!

I didn't know that there was a difference

I haven't been in that area in a while, I'll have to poke around more over there.

Grumpy Irish, I gotta tell ya, everytime I see that picture of you it makes me smile
I read that so far there was a 3-2 vote in favor of the Rally for 2007, nothing in stone or anything yet though
