You guys who do nothing but sit around and drink the HD kool-aid from the Harley dinner set you bought while you were hanging around at the dealership all last summer make me tired . I didn't say the product sucks..... I said I was disappointed with the 2012s ! The models offered every year are getting fewer and fewer . The base models that a lot of people can only afford are pretty much gone . i.e. Super Glide . And no....not the custom . Also where's the Softail standard ? GONE ! And so it goes . One of the top selling bikes in the line up, the St. Bob, has a whopping two colors to choose from! Red, or black . I know, there's technically three, flat black, gloss black.....but they're both BLACK! Softails....What if you don't care for the black line, or the FL type front ends ? Tough **** ! Also, the Night Rod special.....By far the best looking V-Rod . They bitched it up by making it look like the gawd awful VR Muscle ! Do I like the motorcycles ? YEAH . Would I buy a Jap bike over any Harley ? NO ! Do I think the Co. has really given up it's diversity in design in exchange for more clothes ? HELL YES ! So, to anyone who felt the need to be a dick to me because I voiced my opinion....... F*ck off !
So you are mad because some people voiced their opinion about your opinion so you bitch at them for their opinion?
I guess MOCO though by Adding the new HD1 customization program they thought customer would be all over that to make a bike their own when in fact most people don't buy a buy fully changed, they do it one piece at the time...
I had an 09 and started thinking about an oil cooler and some other things. I found that the limited offered me alot of the things I wanted anyway and I was decided to get a 2012. Dealer made me a tremendous offer and I could not refuse it. Boy am I glad I traded, the Limited is smooth, lots of power yet refined. I got my moneys worth.
Well...... I have never been in the market for a NEW bike. As that said, I like the 2012s alot. Yes, I miss the lowrider, the springers, etc.... obviously, they arent selling.. The MOCO, wouldnt get rid of a money maker..
Instead of naming something hohum and boring standard..... lets call it a custom...
the superglide custom is affordable..... the sporty line up is nice....
that Big Blue paint is nice!
I am not in the market.. love my RG, would love even more a new 2012 Big Blue or Black RG...
I like the new Dyna alot...
I for one am glad they dont have a springer classic style this year...
it may have just been too much for me to say no too....
Props to the MOCO.. the bikes, style, models....
in a few years.. a new to me used 2012 may be in the garage, RG or Switchback...
I bought a 2011 Road King and "put everything on it including XM radio",,,guess I paid for the 2012 a year early.LOL BUT,,my King has stuff that the 12s don't unless you pay of course...LOL
I guess MOCO though by Adding the new HD1 customization program they thought customer would be all over that to make a bike their own when in fact most people don't buy a buy fully changed, they do it one piece at the time...
How are people going to jump all over a program when you can only order one model from HD that they will take a factory order on?

I remember a time when you walked into a HD dealer and the only choice you had was an FL or Sporster and only 3 or 4 colors, and most dealers couldn't make it as just a HD dealer he had to add another line. Most then carried Honda too. These days you not only have a wide choice of bikes but colors too.
First off I love my 2012. They now have 103's in all the bikes other than the Sportsters and all of those bikes now have an ABS option. I would say all good incremental changes.
