I found a street bob I really liked at a dealership in NH however it got sold to a dealer in Canada a few hours before I got there. I tracked down the dealer and he is willing to sell it to me for 13,000 USD when it previously was selling for 11,5000 USD. A few questions ...
1. Am I totally getting ripped off? It's a 09 street bob with custom pipes, bars, grips, forward controls and seat. It has ~9k miles.
2. Anyone import a bike from Canada before? ... I called customs and it sounds like if you come prepared with 2 forms, thats all you will need at the border to bring it into the US. I am still a bit concerned as I would need to ride into the U.S. so would temporary Canadian plates be OK and what about insurance?
Any thoughts? Should I do it ... or keep looking and ride my 98flsts while I save up for a fat boy lo in few more years
Agree with 03 FB, why pay near new price for a used scooter? As you can see from my info I am a street bob fan, but wouldn't give away the farm for one.
