Gerbing.......I'll never do business with them again, last fall(Oct, while still in Idaho) I ordered a dual controller(have pants, gloves, insoles) since I will add a jacket someday, instead of ordering a single controller. They back ordered it.....and backordered it, I would call, and they would keep saying 2 weeks, 2 weeks......finally called them in Feb and told them to cancel the order, and bought from Warm-n-safe.....
Screw them and their chinese made controllers, Warm-n-Safe will get my business and that of my friends in the future.......

Bo--That's one way to look at it.
EZ to place blame. Had you given this purchase a higher priority, initially, you might have located one through normal retail channels w/ ready-to-ship stock. And you would be here telling us about what a great product it is. Once you accept that you were 1/2 responsible for it not working out to plan, you will also see they're good people w/ a great product.
Gerbings jacket liner and T5 gloves here. Warm&Safe (aka FirstGear) also makes heated gear as does EXO and Tourmaster. Tourmaster is cheaper but slightly lower quality.
I did a McGuyver on my inner liner from my jacket and made my own. 30' of that thin telephone wire, a plug for the battery tender hookup, some 2 sided sticky stuff from an fabric store and some black material to cover it. Ran the wire in one continuous loop, soldered the plug on the ends, ironed the black material over everything and it works great.
I got my first set of heated gear last winter after I chopped the top/side off my left index finger and thumb and they now really feel the cold - apparently that's a common after effect. Heated grips wouldn't work for me as I ride with the first 2 fingers on brake and clutch levers. Went for Gerbing gloves because of reputation for quality and service - made sure I got the thermo controller thing. No regrets - nice gear, does the job. Almost looking forward to the winter.

FG seems overly complex and has more wires than the Gerbing - I don't get that sync thing.
Same number of wires in all heated gear except Tourmaster. Tourmaster as far as I know does not have wiring to connect the gloves to the cuffs of jacket liner so this requires extra external wires. The wiring he was demonstrating only gets done once during setup, not every time you put on the jacket.
The Sync feature is because the temp controller is wireless, it uses BlueTooth, and has to be synched like the connection between your cell phone and say ear piece you wear or the on board communication system of your car, like Ford's MyTouch. Basically the wireless controller needs to be initially set up "synched" so it knows which temperature controller it is controlling, other wise you would be controlling the temperature of everyone's jacket liner, not just your own, with your wireless controller.
