Well, it's been about 5 years since I joined this forum. Always with the intention of buying a Harley - something I've wanted since I was a kid. In the last few years, due to the cost, I decided to start with sportbikes. Rode a Ninja 250 first, then went up to a Kawi ZX6R for a year. Sold that this spring.
Today I finally got what I've always wanted. A black Harley. Bought a 2012 Ultra Classic Electra Glide and am adding a shorter smoked windshield, kit for detachable Tour Pak and Reinhart 3.5 inch slip-ons. Dealer didn't have one in stock so it'll be a week or so before they get it in (already found at another dealer) and get it ready for me.
Congrats. Take your time getting used to the bigger bike. Practice stopping fast without locking rear brake. Recommend taking Advanced Rider Course. This was my first year on a FLHTUI, very nimble, but takes practice.

Reason: spelling
The dealer finally got my new bike in from another dealer. Next week mods are made by the dealer (detach kit for Tour Pak, Windsplitter smoked windscreen and Reinhart 3.5 in Slip-ons).
