HD cats are so high flowing that one cannot tell the difference when they are removed. It takes a fuel programmer, intake and exhaust mods to get that TC freed up just like the 96 and 88.

the 103 is slow , the 96 just a touch slower. As some have correctly pointed out , you really need to warm the motor to get any sort of favourable performance.

I started with an 08 Softail Stage 1, ran great. Moved to an 11 Touring, Stage 1 with a dyno & it ran great 2-up. Now, I'm back in an 08 Stage 1, 96ci Roadking & I for one can tell you there definately is a difference. 255's & new pipes are coming soon to wake this 96 up. I'm hoping it pulls 2-up as well as my 103 did. JMHO

Given a choice, I bet almost every woman in America would prefer her husbands 'engine' to be 7'' bigger....
