Agree. They were Wrong for sure, They're be a lot more come from this screw- up and should be.
Pulling his taser while the person is walking away without threatening the officer.. wrong again, IMO
Don't agree just cause a few LEO's are (Richard Craniums) screw-ups that they are all that way.
Grouping all LEO's in one basket IMO is like saying that because their are some bad motorcycle gangs, that all motorcycle riders are a bunch of misfit piece's of crap.
True statement here. The cops involved here should be held responsible
Local PD wasnt ready to escort, why ? I am sure as stated before if 200 cars where in this procession this wouldnot have happened the way it did. The laws around here say traffic defers the right-of-way to funeral processions. I just did this the other day in my work van on a 4-lane. I pulled up next to a power co. truck and we stopped all traffic until the procession went past. Respect of the deceased is lost in todays selfish world. People doing more things than watching the road is whats dangerous for all of us . Sorry to see this happened to this family.
What a bunch of crap this is. I give his family a ton of credit for staying composed because this could have turned very ugly very fast. Sounds to me like the right thing was done with blocking traffic to maintain security and safety along the route. The only wrong here was pulling over the entire group. Leaves you wondering 'WTF?'
What a lack of respect. Some cop making a power play at a funeral.... really! Surprised this did not turn real ugly. Why did the cops not pull off the precesion and just say hey give us a couple of minutes to get into place, and we will get u going again. SAD..... But we all know how this story ends, swept under the carpet with some "biker" being the one to start it all.
I didn't know Timmy personally but have a number of friends that did and were at the funeral. It was really awful for them/ the VA biker community. People are still upset. And it isn't like there isn't a lot of bikes around since there are a ton. The road they were on is the road my husband works on and he rides to work almost every day.
Hopefully fairfax learned a lesson but only time will tell.

That's just plain disrespectful!
Agreed...this is unbelievable! I'm not a LEO hater, but in this instance, do not see ANY justification for stopping the entire procession, including the hearse...maybe just those that blocked the intersections illegally. What blows me away is they clearly showed lack of compassion, respect and discretion by treating the family and friends as they did. I don't condone arguing, threatening, cussing or generally acting like a dick when stopped by the police, but in this type of situation, the LEO's should have used better judgement and showed some restraint in handling the "confrontations" because they HAD to realize the funeral participants, especially the family, were already stressed with tensions running high.
I agree though, better chance of it snowing today here in Dallas, TX (it's currently 103°F) than that PD's Internal "Investigation" finding any fault/wrong-doing on the involved officer's behalf.
