I seem to always run into a rule that you had to be in the service during specific dates

Even the American Legion Riders wont take me because I served from November of 76 thru November of 80

It seems every veterans MC organization has the same dates
I am an outcast vet I guess which really sucks because I volunteered

To join the American Legion, you must have served at least one day on ACTIVE DUTY during any of these periods of conflict:

April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918 (World War I)
December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946 (World War II)
June 25, 1950 to January 31, 1955 (Korean War)
February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975 (Vietnam War)
August 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984 (Lebanon/Grenada)
December 20, 1989 to January 31, 1990 (Operation Just Cause - Panama)
*August 2, 1990 to today (Operation Desert Shield/Storm/Iraqi Freedom)

A copy of your DD214 showing dates and character of service is required at application.

Legacy Vets MC lets you in if you served between 1976 and present. Don't have to be a combat vet to join them. They are affiliated with the Vietnam Vets MC.

I see some **** never changes! lol I'm glad I've read through this thread, it brought back some funny *** memories of those same kind of days.

83-00, medically retired before **** got busy! Much respect to those who continue to serve after multiple trips to the box.

Thank you all for your service!

Thanks
So how have things panned out with the WBVMC? Good I hope. Been in the WB for about 6 months now. It was exactly what I was looking for. It is most definitely an MC not an RC and it is full of Veterans (Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, Retired).

I agree with you. I served 72-74 but how does that make me different than some one that was born two or three years after I was? That doesn't make sense.

Another outstanding club if they're in your AO.

I am in Goodyear and ride with the PGR it's cool and the AZ riders are awesome, there are a bunch of American Legion riders groups and I see CVMA riders all over the place.
I very recently have become a widower (just lost my wife to Cancer) and will be riding more and am always looking for folks to ride with. I am VN Vet Navy myself. HAL-3, The one thing about AZ is there is always someone to ride with.
