After I searched ETHANOL FREE GAS, I fount a location close to home and pleased with the results of pure gas. I noticed they only had a small sticker on the pump indicating E free. Then one day there was a sign posted out front indicating E free gas and after a few days the sign was gone. I axed why he removed the sign and was told THEY told him to remove it and not to advertise E free other than the same size sticker the other locations have on pumps indicating ETHANOL ADDED. He didn't want to talk about it other than THEY instructed him not to advertise ETHANOL FREE! Seems strange to me.
What part of East 10 are you from? I can recommend some stations that are still pure gas.
Yeah, it does sound strange. I know OBummer wants to mandate that all gasolines will contain 15% Ethanol by 2012, let's hope he does not get his way... stupid idiot! Paying more for subpar gas that corrodes, destroys fuel systems, and burns at an accelerated rate, and now O is wanting it to be mandated for more content? Thanks for that one, jerk!
Big money from the ag and ethanol industry. Even NASCAR has sold out to them. I'd be interested to know how much money was put into the NASCAR bank account to get them to advertise ethanol. I'd also be interested to know if there is in fact ethanol in their racing fuel.

The one benefit to Ethanol is it's racing properties. The stuff just won't hardly detonate, so teams can put more timing into the car. Great for drag racing! Problem is that the fuel burns so fast that pit stops are more common. NASCAR is all about money, they have been sellouts ever since the 1990s, even in the 1980s to some extent.

I'm not a proponent for ethanol, but with that said, why blame Obama
for **** that got started long before he was even on the scene. Blame the EPA and Congress. Here's just a snippet to show how far back this problem goes.
"Speaking on 21 March 2000 at a news conference on the Clinton administration's support for ethanol, US Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman predicted a dramatic increase in the amount of ethanol used in America's transportation fuel. "The ethanol industry has grown from 100 million gallons in 1981 to almost 1.5 billion gallons in 1999," he said. "We can and will do better than that." Glickman said he had directed USDA's Commodity Credit Corporation to provide up to $100 million in 2000 and up to $150 million in 2001 and 2002 in incentive payments to ethanol and other bioenergy producers to expand production of biobased fuels. Glickman also recommended reducing and phasing out MTBE as an additive and using ethanol instead."

Oh I agree, this goes so far back... but Obama has pushed it a LOT and is currently pushing 15%.

After a couple winters ago all my lawn equipment had some kind of fuel problem mainly corroded carb parts then the fuel injector pump went out on my outboard motor. So now whenever I winterize anything I make sure all the gas is E free. Supposedly fuel additives such as Stabil do not keep ethanol from absorbing water and separating. I think ethanol is alright as long as its used in vehicles that get used and it doesnt sit.
