It clears the mind and makes me happy. Nothing like being alone while riding on an empty country road taking in the sights and smells and just enjoying life.
Many reasons
1.) Exercise- burns over 200 calories per hour riding
2.) Studies have shown people who ride are mentally sharper at older age then those who don't ride.
3.) 55 mpg or better.. Need i say more i love paying 4 bucks a week for gas money driving to and from work.
4.) Most importantly the FUN FACTOR.
5.) I've always considered myself different or out of the norm. I like to be that 1 in 1000 that doesn't drive a gas guzzling mind numbing cage.
6 Cycle rage. When cages irritate me i just blow by and lose them in the rear view.
That's just a few reasons why! Life isn't around worrying about how long you live but enjoying that ride day by day, hour by hour.
My doctor said I need to exercise more... walking, jogging, riding a bike, weight lif.... hummmm, what was that again, Doc? I am sure he wasn't thinking about THAT kind of biking, but oh well- technicalities! :+)
I ride because I enjoy it. Plain and simple. And to get out of the house more.
