Default Boots

First post. Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am taking the MSF course starting Thursday. Simple question, what is a comfortable brand of boots for a guy with big calves, size 12EE or thereabouts. I don't need a site where all brands are listed, but rather a specific brand you might be fond of. I tried Chippewa and not quite right, but a damn good boot.

Thanks

Try Cruiserworks. They are waterproof, light, and very comfortable. They are pricey, but well worth it.

I wear a size 13EEE boot and found a perfect fit at the Harley shop. Not sure of the particular style, but the boot I have comes above the ankle ( very important in a motorcycle boot ) and zips up the side ( very important for us robust folks ) Keep in mind, if a boot fits tight, within reason, thats ok. Leather boots will stretch, and eventually conform to your foot. I bought a pair of mid-calf slip on boots, no zipper that I absolutely hated the first few times I wore them. Now, I would not take nothing for them. They are my favorite, cold season boots. In my mind, boots are as important as leathers as far as protection is concerned. An EMT friend of mine said that most non-serious motorcycle injuries involve broken or sprained ankles.

Good luck in your quest!

Ariat. I've only had mine for 7 months but they impress me as being bullet proof and extremly comfortable.
