I'm in Ohio, but I've been a flat track fan over 50 years! My uncle raced back in the '60's (see link, he's #6, Columbus, Ohio Charity Newsies 1/2 mile) so I grew up on half mile pea gravel mid-West tracks! BTW, that's Dick Mann out in front! Love Chris Carr! Glad to see another flat track fan on here!
I was at the last race before ascot closed down,
Raced a few local races here in cali. A Knight framed TT 500.
Been the the sacramento mile a few times to watch the Pros go round...
Its gonna be a good night of racing..
It has always amazed me that flattrack racing (especially the mile tracks) has never gotten much tv exposure.
Way back when you used to be able to catch all the flat track races on ESPN. Now, any bike racing is divided up between motocross and the superbikes and you're lucky to ever see a flat track race on the tube. I always loved the flat track races. I've been to Lima numerous times to see the pros run. I like Carr but my all time favorite is still Scott Parker.
