Minor rear tire rant
03 Fatboy with 85,250 miles on it. Replaced the rear tire on 10/4 as the belts were visible. Just lucky a co-worker was blinded by the rising sun's reflection. So please check your tires for wear. Riding to work on 10/11, in the semi dark, run over something, but nothing big, wrong. Get to work, back tire is going flat in a fast way. Co-worker get's his pancake compressor and follows me back to the local shop and another back tire. Just had to rant a little, and thank the tire god's as this was my first flat in nine years. Chris.
2 rears in a week. I would rant a little too.

are you saying you were riding on atire with the belts showing? and you did not know until someone following you pointed it out? if so, do yourself and your family a favor, sell the bike!
i am guessing here that you do not do a walk around daily inspection before you take off? the tire didnt go from being good to being able to see the air in it in one ride, unless that ride was 5000 miles nonstop.

I got a nail in my tire 2 weeks into owning my bike. Thankfully I purchased the 3 years wheel and tire warranty. Cost me 600$ for the warranty and I already saved a 400$ tire change. If I use it once more it would have been well worth the investment.

$400 for a tire change! good lord! whereis that at? i just bought new rear, new tube, new rim protector, mounted, balanced, installed., ride in and out deal. Dunlop HD type, out the door for 2 bills. same tire the stealership sells, with a date code not barely two months old.
