I just purchased a HD Flag and mount for my bike. I did not notice it is "for parade use only" and is not intended for and will not stand up to highway speeds.

Anyone else have the same item and your experience with it? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

they all say that. that way, if it blows off while you're riding down the road, they can say it's your fault.

kinda depends on the size.... 6"X12", 12"X18" will be fine, 3'X5' won't. I had 2 12"X18" flags on the back of my RKC, and they did ok.

I got a free 6x12 at an American Legion run I went to at the beginning of the summer. 3.5K later, with 75-80 highway riding, still on there. Mounted with two mini zip ties.

There's also a sticker on the rear luggage rack that says not to put over 10 lbs weight on it. You'll have to fill up your T-Bag with helium.

Motherwell's also says their racks don't hold more than 10 lbs. If that's really true, there's no point putting it on.

It's no big deal. It's the way the flag is designed. Parade only flags won't hold up to the highway use. They'll shred. You can replace them with highway use flags that will hold up better, and aren't expensive.
