Last weekend in the 60's and rode Skyline and the Shenandoahs both days. Tomorrow they are talking about a high of 36 and 3-5 inches of snow in the mountains. Even here, it has been cold, rainy and windy all week and we are predicted to get an inch of snow tomorrow.
I am not mentally prepared for winter and laying up the bike. Damn!
(Dickey, do you have a guest room I can move into for the winter?)
i hear ya... it suppost to be a cold weekend here in norfolk, va i think it suppost to be high of upper 50s and low 60s with sunshine... i am going to have to wear my chapps this weekend...
It snowed in NH last night. They are predicting a couple of inches Saturday night. Roads this morning were slick with black ice. I took the truck to work.
I hate snow and winter, but can't move anytime soon. It was 32 on the way in today with frost on everything, but nice and dry. I would not mind winter if it lasted from the week of Thanksgiving till the day after Christmas, but here in NE ohio the witer really gets going after the first of the year till mid to late March.
Yes, this sucks. Last week, all week in the high 70's and 80's. All week this week has been in the 30's in the morning and getting up to 60's in the day. The mornings absolutely suck, but when I head home, I'm glad I rode. I'm the ONLY one on the rode in the mornings though. I see a few on the way home but just me in the 30 degrees.
