I dig the black line. I think it should come with a Pendelton shirt, pair of old skool vans and a metal flake 3/4 helmet. Maybe a Sailor Jerry temporary neck tattoo thrown in for weekend bar hopping in LA?
that's funny. i was at the hideaway in cave creek az saturday. it's a bar with some tents where they sell biker accessories. mostly girl stuff. there was one tent with a bunch of flannel shirts hanging in it. i pointed it out to my buddy and asked "what's that all about"? he said "i don't know, maybe it's for a sons of anarchy episode".
who knew fashion would make it's way into the motorcycle community after t-shirts and leather jackets have been working for so long.
Well Dicky, Thats your opinon and you don't have to ride my bike. But when I park my Blackline in a group of Harley's everyone is drawn to my bike as they walk right by yours.
Funny you wrote that... I have always said the Blackline is a Dyna in disguise, Yes, I like it!
I have to agree, the Blackline does look more like a Dyna than any Softail. It's a very cool looking bike but I still like the looks of the classic Softail for me.
[QUOTEI have always said the Blackline is a Dyna in disguise, Yes, I like it!][/QUOTE]
I was really torn between the Wide Glide and The Blackline. So I can see that as they both had the potential look I wanted. In the end the Softail with no visible shocks was the push as well as other features that made it a better template to do what I wanted.
No visible shocks on a stock harley= soft tail.not dyna....that blackline is a cheap knock off of the night train, the only thing i like about it ,is the coil location
I've been for a test ride on a Blackline (my first ride on a softtail). I love the looks, but the balanced engine of the softtail is far too smooth for my personal tastes...
I like the Blackline and had it been out when I got my Wide Glide, I would have considered it. I like the Softail look with the no shocks but have never liked the large fenders that usually goes along with most Softails. The only gripe I have about the Blackline is the narrow rear tire. Would like it just a little wider and probably why I would have stuck with the Dyna.
LOL, it's only 'cause they ride the "real" girly-bike; after all, Dyna is simply a version of Dinah. 'Sides, rubber-mounts are either sissy-bikes, or geezer-glides.
(Boy am I gonna pay for that when I finally break down and get a garbage barge to keep THE MAMA happy!)
Poco, Poco, Poco,
What are we going to do with you Brother??? I might have to stop by on our way to Reindeer Express and let the wife take the Road Glide for a cruise. Let her feel how nice these GARBAGE BARGES are....THen IF Dana still has it, we will let her jump on the Street Bob and see how much fun that is over ANY softail!!!!
Not going to knock the old belt eating sloptail of yours that makes my *** sore just thinking about riding it, but Im just going to have to learn ya to love that ole rubber mounted sissy/geezer rides....

Reminds me of when Green Day came out and Hot Topic started popping up in the burbs. Now those kids are hitting their late 20's and early 30's and are buying bikes and bringing their forward fashion sense with them. The aftermarket is happy to take their money! I'll stick with my Schott leather, Levi's and Engineer Boots.
