Without beating the horse again,I've got to ask concerning a 95" or 98" build.Looking at the Rev Per 98"build package, adding the new carb, intake manifold, push rods, close to 3k.I know this build will flat out perform, but 3k?,no local dealer or support. It seams to be very popular to bash H.D products, whats wrong with the HTTC heads,95" jugs,pistons,211 cams, rods, and add a 44 mm CV carb or 44 mm flatside?I priced an entire package including:
HTTC heads
44 mm cv carb
adjustable pushrods
piston kit
95" barrels
clutch spring
gaskets
ignition module
211 cams
s.e.manifold
All this from Zanotti for 1900.00$If I have my dealer do the install,Ive also got a warranty, according to dyno tests in the catalog, and at my dealer,I should be around 105hp and 110lb torque. So whats wrong with the S.E. build?Planning a build on my '05 Fatboy..one time.
Hard for me to answer your question. I posed a somewhat similar question last week. I think you have to go for what you are comfortable with. There are alot of gearheads on here, I hope you get your answer.
Just got mine back from the Harley shop a couple days ago & I am PLEASED! You might want to look at a Race Tuner or Power Commander #3. Ask your Harley shop what they want to do the job. Many Harly shops run winter specials (thats what I got). There isn't anything wrong with the 95 up grade!
Thanks Bighorse,my bike is carbed, did you go with the HTCC heads, cams??If you don't mind, what was the labor,or,if anyone knows what a decent labor charge would be?
