Guess I may be stopping at Wally World, I don't buy much from them, but that is a good price for the oil.

automotive oil is made for water cooled engines, V Twin oil is not. Why is this so hard?

So I decided to check in to Mobil 15W50 regular oil. I went to www.walmart.com for my search. When I typed in the 15W50, it found no matching results. It did, however show the V-Twin Mobil as in stock for $9.67 per quart. So I decided to go to my local store (which was the one I searched) To my surprise, I found 5 qt. jugs of the 15W50 for $26.62! There was NO 20W50 V-Twin in the store. Totally the opposite of what the website said....So, the 15W50 works out to $5.32 per quart. About half the price of the V-Twin. Consider me a convert! And do NOT go by what the website says!
It's been a well known fact about the 15W50 5QT jugs over on the Sporty forum for several years.....And the 20W50 VTwin is usually on one of the back shelves that you have to ask an employee to go get. Oh, and NAPA just recently had a sale on the 15W50 as well.

The Mobil 1 site says the 15-50 is fine for our motors but because of friction modifiers may not be suitable for the primary. Plenty of members here use it and have had tests showing that it is fine. Some also use it in their primary without clutch issues.
