I always ride alone and love it. Group riding does absolutely nothing for me, each to their own I suppose.

Is there anyone else out there that enjoys riding alone? Or am I the only one crazy?

Me, Myself and I. Most of the time.

I ride alone and enjoy not having to watch for another riders position. Riding a bike has never been a social event for me but to each his/her own.

95% solo. I like the freedom of straying from the beaten path if I feel like it. From time to time, though, company is nice.

Another vote for solo from me. I have a good friend I ride with occassionally but I find being alone I stop when I want, I go when I want, and I ride where I want, and at the speed I want.

I was riding with a small group recently on a Interstate and (maybe stupidly) didn't put on my windshield (FXDL). I prefer to ride without it. Slowly but surely, the speeds kept creeping up until they were running 80 - 85 mph. My scoot has no trouble running at that speed but it literally beat me to death and after 300+ miles I was wore out. I told them at the first stop just to go on and I would meet them at the end of the day destination but they insisted on staying together. From here on out, I will meet my friends at the end of the day and take my time getting there. I may be crazy but the view of the great outdoors from an Interstate at 80+ mph just "ain't" that exciting to me. I'm planning a ride from LA (lower Alabama) to the Florida Keys and then back up through the Carolinas before heading home this summer. I will be alone most of the time and I will avoid the super slabs where posible.

There are a lot of us who enjoy solo riding. I ride with friends sometimes and two up with the wife, but she doesn't like long day trips. After the sand is off the roads in the mountains, I'll take off at dawn and ride 300-400 mile loops in the Rockies. Go at your own pace, turn when you feel like it, go 90 or 40, its like being one step closer to heaven.

Usually take rides with just the wife and I during the weekday's after work. Saturday's I usually ride all day solo and Sunday's are usually small group rides.

With 13000+ miles in 14 months, (6months spent in Persian Gulf & Indian Ocean) maybe 700 miles were with a group. Last time I road with a group it was a beautiful day, and all they wanted was to vist all the boutiques in Houston.
