I don't think anyone makes a heated motorcycle helmet but I could be wrong. I'm not an expert.
From what I know on the subject, and it's not much, it's not the helmet that's heated, it's the shield.
If you ride a lot in very cold weather, you can buy, like you said, a ski-doo helmet with heated shield or you can buy a heated balaclava. The helmet is much more $$$ than heated balaclava.
The balaclava won't prevent fogging but your head will be warm.
If I ride when it's cold, which is an exception. I wear a neoprene ski mask to cover my face and a 1/2 helmet. It's good enough for me cause I normally don't ride when it's under 50F and if I do, it's just for a few miles, like for the Polar Bear ride on Jan 1. By the way, my SO will absolutely not consider riding in these conditions and I can't blame her. <g>
Years ago, someone came out with a helmet that used convection to cool a Peliter to "pull heat" away from the rider's head. I doubt it sold very many.
It looked goofy. Like a CPU's heatsink attached to the top on the helmet.
Those that overclocked their computer systems years ago will know what a Peliter is.
Put 70 miles on the bike today. It was almost 40 and windy as hell.
Thermal Dri-wear underclothes, jeans, sweatshirt, riding boots, gloves and a ff. Snug as a bug and my freshly shaven head was sweating when I took off the helmet.
I know it is a little more expensive than a heated helmet but... I suggest an Ultra with a tall fairing and lowers.
Never seen a heated helmet, not sure why you would need one on a motorcycle. I snowmobiled at -50F and did not have a problem with my head being cold. If your problem is with the shield fogging the heated shields work but kind of a pain with a cord hanging off your face. You can get pinlock shields to turn your single pane shield into a double pane lens which greatly reduces fogging. All snowmobile helmets are double paned. A better option is to use a No-Fog mask, which is a neoprene mask with a flap that exhausts your breath out below the helmet. Look like a elephant, but works great and also keeps your chin warm. I guess that I would think that the helmet would be enough, but I guess I really don't do much bike riding under 35F, ATV and snowmobile handle the icy roads better then the bike!
