Also about 30 yrs ago, I was riding my KZ1000 home from work in DC. To get off on my exit, you have to merge over 3 lanes of traffic that are also trying to merge in the I-95. from I-495. I was going around 60 and looking to my right to find a clear path when all of the sudden I look up and there is a car completely stopped about 50 ft in front of me. I somehow manage to swerve and miss it, but not by much. I had to pull off on the shoulder of the exit and regain my composure and check my shorts. I couldn't have missed that car by more than an inch.

I try to avoid hitting all stationary objects large and small. So far I've managed to avoid hitting cars, cattle, trucks, buildings, cliffs, fat chicks, trains, and farm implements. I also avoided hitting two deer at the same time but everyone talks about the third one.
