I'd expect anybody that's gotten a year of riding under their seat has missed assorted cars and trucks, and like many others here, I've missed assorted animals - and one of those cable reels, but I was driving a pickup on that one. Hit an armadillo once (like hitting a chunk of concrete - front wheel up, back wheel up, which slams the front wheel down; don't know how I kept from eating pavement) and had a dog run into the front wheel - that was downright funny, dog did a full cartwheel in the air and came down on his feet. Wobbled to a stop and just stared at me with big eyes (I stopped). He didn't get close to me again. The most dangerous thing I missed had to be a 5 gallon jerry can full of gas. Fell off the back of a pickup and burst on the road right next to me; somehow I didn't get a drop of gas on me, but sure smelled it. If it had ignited...

Was haulin *** behind my buddies 69 Charger when the wind lifted his hood off (forgot to pin it down) and next thing you know the damn thing is flying through the air at me. All I could do is duck down the side of the bike like the cowboys do in the movies when someone is shooting at them. It went right over the top of me.

Hazardous waste crew had to come out though to wipe up the crap I left all over the road behind me

Another time when I was stationed at Camp Lejuene a logging truck on a back road coming around a turn dumped a big log off the top I didn't avoid hitting it but had I been maybe 4 seconds faster it would have hit me.

3rd time was when I was stationed in Hawaii I was out riding by Schofield Barracks on a Sunday AM. This beat *** Ford Ranger pick up blows by me with two locals in it they have a big *** TV in a box in the back. This was in about 94-95... The TV caught air blew out the back and looked as though it was heading right towards me but it was just me converging on it.

I was pissed until the dude came back and was basically in tears with his big Wahine wife yelling at him, giving him the you shoulda tied it down you dumbass, my dad was right you are a worthless pos, speech.

I helped him put it in the truck but it was ruined sounded like broken china in the box. He couldn't even look in it. I admit I was curious to see how badly a TV I couldn't afford at the time was crunched up. Next weekend was super bowl Sunday...

Turns out they were gonna have the family over watch the game then return it lol. Not anymore...

Ouch...

Mine was another cage, this guy flew by me in the right lane ( which was ending) only to slam on his brakes for a left hand turn! I locked the rear wheel and side saddled the bike, 1 foot from the rear bumper, had I didn't swing out the rear , the front wheel would of hit the bunper, hard. I was in the process of kicking same when the ******* made his left turn, leaving me alone , sideways in the middle of the one lane! lesson learned.

Other than cars and trucks I'll have to say 3 cows running down a country road. That'll make you slam on the brakes in a hurry.

A horse that came across the field, jumped the fence and was broadside to me. Some how, guess God was a riding passenger with me, I did miss hitting the darn thing. Sure makes me look off to the side when on country roads tho. LOL

missed this by inches.I was mesmerized by the site of Orca riding down the road.

I shouldn't have been riding with the camera in my hands any way.
