I've seen many people post items for sale in the classified section here and when prospective buyers respond, they want pictures of the items. Even if the poster states that the items are in excellent condition. I would agree on large items like sheet metal, tour paks, etc where damage could be possibly seen but on small items like foot pegs, floor board pans (mine), etc, how could you see any damage unless the original poster takes close ups of every surface on the item?
I'm very **** about my toys and parts on same. Plus I'm not about to pull the wool over someones head about the condition of items I offer up for sale here. Maybe some people would but I think most of us are looking out for the other members.
I think people buying items here should look at the sellers post count and past history. If your screwed by a member on a sale, 9 out 10 times the buyer posts his displeasure here for all to see.
I am not going to buy anything online without a pic either. Sorry, just not going to happen. I don't care how much you say just trust me or I am an honest guy, It just makes that trust disappear. Its human logic.
Why is it so difficult to not post pics. Because of all the people asking for pics there are at least 100+ potential customers that are just passing you by because you don't have pics.
I bought an air cleaner and according to the guy, it was taken off a new bike right after he bought it when he put on the SE AC. Well I bought it and when I received it, I threw it away because it was dirty. I sent an email back to him and he basically said I didn't say it wasn't used. Lesson learned, not all people are like you.
I will NOT buy anything online without a pic. The more the better. Its not a big deal, takes less than a minute to take it and post it.
I have trust issues which came from being a cop for 28 years but for some things, you have to trust the other person. I've been buying used items on line for over 7 years and don't recall ever being burned. Plus if you can see a tiny scratch on a chrome item from a picture, you must have Superman eyes. Sorry I opened up this can of worms.

You say you wouldn't pull the wool over anyone's head but how does anyone know that even with your post count and once you have paid for something the seller can say to bad so sad. I bought something from a forum member w/o a pic and when i got it it was a POS, so I am with the folks that won't buy w/o a pic. If you want to sell an item bad enough a pic is no biggie.
