container with a person that has a dick and a vagina? Do they have those? I assume the he/she polishes the bike all day and night while sealed in there?

Do they have some special ability to go without oxygen in a sealed container? I need to know more about this...

just yanking your chain... I think you mean hermetically sealed...

OP you can get bags of desiccant At a store, get a coke/beer can whatever can- punch holes in it and pour the desiccant in it. Before you cover the bike you set the can on the seat and it will suck up all the moisture under the cover and if it is a relatively small room will do it. When it stops being effective or each time you can stick it in oven at like 200 for awhile and it will dry it back up so you can use again.

I do that with my gun safes and put some in all my various cans of ammo.

spray the chrome down with WD40 before you store it. The thin layer of oil will prevent oxygen from penetrating and stop the oxidation process. Give your bike a wash when you pull it out and you're good to go...

I would think a thin layer of Vaseline or similar. You are looking for storage protection; not day to day stuff.

I use my SW686 to protect my chrome.

Learned along time back to use gas on a rag to remove rust from chrome. I agree too you play hell trying to get scratches off of chrome.

Chrome is a plating....you CAN go through it, most definitely.

Nope, I mean a container sealed by hermaphrodites....it's hard to find hermets these these days.

Hey Joe. I don't think anyones saying you can't scratch chrome, all I'm saying is that you can polish it. Polish fills in small swirl marks, hides imperfections and removes oxidation. Am I wrong here?

No...to a point, you can....but alot of guys apparently don't understand, that you can't POLISH it like you can aluminum and buff it to a shine.....you can only do so much. And harsh abrasives will only ruin it.

And I am a REAL old skool guy. REAL old skool is chrome and glossy paint.

Sorry but the truth is....chrome plating needs to be treated carefully.

NEV-R-DULL and a soft rag will bring chrome back. If it can't do it....then frankly....the part will need to be re-chromed.

Again....I love the stuff....but it can only take so much before it chips, peels, or falls off.

To the OP.....NEV-R-DULL and a a rag will save it. moisture isn't going to peel it.....salt air CAN. I don't know what to tell you other than, if you take care of your ****, it will look good...if you stuff it in a corner for years, then you are NOT taking care of it....and you get what you get.

Either get off you lazy *** and give it TLC, or fk it and take your chances.

Replace with new expensive chrome. You'll spend less time hating the old chrome.
